Will Harris

Age: 21
Current Residence: I’d say I consider myself something of a nomad, or wherever the Leone family is taking me.
Home Mountain: Killington/Pico
First Seven Pair Movie: Highlights
One or Two Boards? Generally 2. I’m a mathlete, not an athlete.
Favorite Trick: I don’t even know anymore, it changes every day. I guess I would say on any particular day my favorite trick is whichever one isn’t landing me on my face. I do have a pretty consistent running man tho.
Favorite Music: Jay Z, Fort Minor, MGMT, and maybe a little splash of Mickey Avalon. Also, Meatloaf’s “I Would Do Anything For Love.” I’m crankin’ that shi’ up to 40, rolling down the windows and singing along with all 6 words I know in that song.
Any pre-riding rituals? There’s just no substitute for that light and bouncy feeling you can only get after dropping off the Cosbys at daycare.
Best day of riding this season: We had a couple fun days shooting some silly stuff around Uconn, keeping ourselves entertained as best we can in CT. The best day though, was probably the day we discovered the secret stash. (Hint: it’s in Vermont) When it snows, that place is gonna be off the hook/wall/chain/heezy next year.
When I’m not riding I’m: Skateboarding, golfing, trying not to get knocked off by Jake Glass, unicycling, kayaking, biking, jumping off of stuff into water…
Inspiration/Hero: Glen Plake, Wayne Wong, Tanner, Candide, and the Meathead crew.
Favorite Après-Ski Activity: Watching “Reel Thrills” with Glen Plake, duhhh. Maybe a little bit of “Guess Who” thrown in, or a game or two of getting beaten by Eric in ping pong.
Jake Glass: Cold-as-ice gangster or adorable suburban G-Unit? The whole gangsta skiing style is so weird, and I don’t think there’s a single gangsta in the whole group of freestyle skiers, but it does look cool.
Can I take your order (favorite fast food/dream meal for under $6)? Arizona iced tea, crispy chicken, junior bacon cheeseburger, apple pie, and a litre o’ cola. And then some waffle fries.
If/when the world experiences a zombie apocalypse, what is your zombie-slaying weapon of choice? I gotta make my primary weapon a chainsaw. My secondary weapon is definitely the Moonraker Laser from Goldeneye for N64. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, well you should have played more Goldeneye as a kid.
No. 2 at a ski resort: do you hover or nest on the seat? Nest, no question. Pulling off the hover wearing ski boots takes some serious skill.
Tall Tees or tall skis: I can’t knock tall skis cause they’re sweet. When you look at the stuff some old school rippers (Plake) can do on a straight pari of 210’s it’s damn impressive.
Your take on Parachute Pants: Wish I had a pair.
If you could ride anywhere in the world for one week, where would it be? Pemberton, BC, Japan, Chamonix, Val d’Isere, Portillo, or Las Lenas… the list goes on and on.
Anything else you’d like to add: Nibb High Football Rules!
Shout-outs: All my friends skiing in New England, the whole crew from New Zizzle who I’ve only seen a little bit of since then. Also, my friend from UVM, Mike Schwarz, who hit his head snowboarding back in March and is slowly but surely working his way out of a coma, you can do it buddy!
